Who we are
MonkBun is a product of MonkBun ("we", "us", "our"). We are developing a dedicated device for meditation, focus, and sleep. This website is used to gather early interest and feedback as we develop the product.

What data we collect and why
We collect only the data needed to understand whether our product idea resonates with potential customers and to contact you if you've asked to be kept informed.

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment details, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes on this website.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to:
- Analyse survey responses (in aggregate) to make product decisions
- Send you occasional emails about MonkBun's development and launch — only if you provided your email address
- Understand which marketing messages are most effective (using UTM data)
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.
International data transfers
Some of the services listed above are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by one or more of the following safeguards: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where the recipient is certified), standard contractual clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or an adequacy decision by the UK government.
How long we keep your data
We retain your data for the following periods:
- Email address and survey responses: Until you unsubscribe from our mailing list, or until 2 years after your last interaction with our emails — whichever comes first. After this, your data is deleted.
- UTM and analytics data: Retained in aggregated, non-identifiable form indefinitely for product research purposes. The link between UTM data and your email address is deleted when your email data is deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Delete your data (we will remove you from our systems entirely)
- Withdraw consent at any time — you can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a structured format
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint

Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. The only data stored in your browser may be standard technical data set by our hosting provider (Netlify) for the website to function correctly.
Children
This website is not directed at anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. If we make significant changes to how we use your data, we will notify you by email if we have your address.
